~~Single Black Male looking for Monogamous Relationship:

That's right. Dusk wants you all to himself. You see, Dusk is a pretty cool cat. He wants a human to call his very own. Dusk is not standoffish or scared of people.  He likes to be held and will "make biscuits" with his paws when you pet him. He truly wants to shower you with affection and wouldn't mind if you let him know that you think he's a "10" too!  Dusk will even come to greet you at the door.  How's that for loyalty!

Dusk was found on a vacant school campus where some community cats reside. It is believed he was dumped there since cats are on the premises. An established cat colony does not welcome outsiders and this experience had a negative impact on Dusk. He is very fearful of other cats and becomes upset at the sight of one. We want Dusk to feel comfortable and find his forever home, so we are looking for someone who only wants a one-cat household.

Dusk has been in a foster home where there is a calm 15-pound dog (Bichon mix) who is not a barker, except for when the doorbell rings. Dusk has always been rather fascinated by him, but we can't guarantee he will feel the same about all other canines.  If you have a dog that likes cats, it's absolutely worth a try!  A slow introduction over time is strongly recommended; timing and patience are key factors. One adoption didn't take because the new adopters introduced their dog to Dusk within minutes of his arrival and it was too much too soon for both pets.

We would like for Dusk to be with an experienced cat staff. (Older children only, please.) As with all pets, Dusk will need time to settle into his new residence to get acquainted with new sounds, smells, etc.  Dusk has his own bedroom in his foster home since other cats reside in the house, so an entire apartment or home will be a welcome change for him.  Living in isolation is simply not a quality life and we want Dusk to be able to have a home and a human to call his own.

Dusk is ready to change his mailing address to yours. We hope you or someone you know will be his perfect match.  Candy's Cats offers a foster-to-adopt option that provides you with the opportunity to take Dusk home for a week or two to see if he is a good fit for your household. If not, we will take him back. If so, the adoption papers will be ready!

Please contact Shelly at 407-431-4333. Dusk is waiting for your call.
