Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. 

Meet Kitty! Kitty is a special girl as she is a tuxedo kitty with a bob tail. It is believed her great-grandmother kitty was a Manx cat. Kitty comes to us from a sad situation. She lived with cat kind woman who had many cats and a Chihuahua. Kitty was just a kitten when that woman became ill and suddenly passed away. She was put with a relative who cared for all the cats for a while and then his cats bullied her and pushed her out of the yard. One cold night recently she showed up at a neighbors home to find a safe warm place to hide. She was gently sweet and loving so she took her in to care for her. However, she does not live in the state all year round and needs to find her a permanent home. 

Kitty is a very socialized, talkative girl. She loves to be pet, she loves belly rubs, she has been taught to do a "high five" and when this woman whistles for her she comes running. Just by chance she was in one of the vet offices we use and Candy our founder was there. And the rest is history. Kitty is now fully up to date on all her vaccines, and ready to find her forever home. 

Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $120.

In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go towww.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, and then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you.

Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
