Welcome to Candy's Cats, Inc.
All of our kittens and cats are fostered in private foster homes. At a minimum, they are vaccinated appropriately for their age, treated for parasites and fleas, they have been spayed or neutered, microchipped (we register the microchip for you) and they are tested for feline leukemia & aids.*
Cats can live as long as 18-25 years; please ask yourself if you are ready to commit those years to care for the pet you are adopting from us. If not, please consider fostering.
Our adoption fee for one kitten $120 if you adopt two (or more), we give a reduced fee. Sometimes we adopt a teen or adult kitty at a reduced adoption fee because it may come to us with medical care already performed or we may have received financial help through our sponsorship program. The fees go back into our medical program to care for more rescued cats and kittens.

(Oberon was a kitty whose mommy was wild and her babies were being taken as part of her spay procedure. Oberon survived and is testimony to why we do not abort babies from pregnant mommy cats if we know they are pregnant.)
*We do not adopt leukemia positive kittens or cats but will adopt one who has tested positive for feline aids, because a kitten can outgrow it and an adult may have previously been vaccinated for the virus. Kittens should be retested after 6 months.

Candy's Cats, Inc. is a Florida 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation whose goal is to make a determined effort within our community to educate our residents about the tragedy of "throwaway" kittens and cats. We do what we can to reduce the statistics of these "throwaways" in our town by fostering, spaying, neutering and adopting our feline treasures. It is our mission to teach and empower the residents in our community to take responsibility for the scourge of the throwaways. We cannot change it overnight or at one time, but we can do it one kitten, one cat at a time, with your help.
